Trick-or-Treat Part1

Last night we were able to visit my parents and go to their Trunk-or-Treat at church!  The kids had so much fun and really enjoyed spending time with Nana and Pappy.
Gavy in his sweet flying Monkey costume only to be paired with...

...Elphaba!  Lexi is so in love with Elphaba.  She has decided green is also her favorite color!!

We tried so hard to get a pic of all the kids together.

 Didn't go so well.
I LOVE this pic.  I think Lexi and Lily's poses are THE BEST!!!! (and of course Gavin and Sam running off in opposite directions)

Trick-or-Treat Pappy!!  They had to trick-or-treat Nana and Pappy's house, of course!!

Look at that scary bunch!!
Happy Halloween...with more to come!!

Pile on the Fall Fun!! :)

We are SO excited about fall!  It has been a fun month here with all sorts of fun things going on.
Gavin is discovering his 'cool' self...
...while Lexi has been discovering the rule-inforcer within herself.
We took a trip to the pumpkin patch!
Gavy learned that pumpkins aren't so tasty when they are raw.  :)
He got his take at picking apples...
...which he found are much better!
Lexi's attempt at apple picking didn't go as well.
However, if she had tried picking the apples that were within her reach, she might have been able to get one.  Don't worry though, Daddy quickly got her within arms reach!
Gavy ate that same apple the whole time we were at the orchard.  He never needed to pick another apple.
It was a beautiful view!
And the colors were magnificent!!  All in all, a fun night at the orchard!
Gavy is super excited for Halloween!
Sweet Kids!!!
This is Gavin's new face.  He makes this face everytime he gets upset.
Kind of hard to take seriously isn't it?
What a perfect place to sit...
...and jump!  :)
Lexi had a great time outside helping blow the leaves around the yard!
Gavin wasn't quite so sure about them at first.
But he warmed up quickly!
This is the fort that Lexi decided to make.
Such a fun fall day!
I am so excited to see all the beautiful things that fall has in store for us!!

What I Know...

Last weekend my sweet little Lexi was baptized!  It was such a beautiful ceremony and the spirit was so strong!  After the confirmation, Lexi turned around to hug her Daddy and Pappy and when she turned around tears were running down her cheeks.  I think we had all held it together pretty well until that point.  What a sweet thing to see the spirit touch an 8 year old that way!  I am so happy for Lexi and the decision she made.  I am so blessed to have her in my life and for the happiness she brings to our home.

I am so grateful for families and for our Heavenly Father's plan for us to be together forever.  I am so happy to be sealed to my family for eternity!
I hope that Lexi is able to see the potential that is within her.  I hope she knows how much I love her.  I look at her so often and it reminds me of when I was her age.  The feelings she has and simply the way that she acts...it truly is a flashback!  :)
I hope she can recognize the good example that Ryan sets for her.  To always work hard for what she wants in life and never settle for less than that.  To want to serve others above anything.  She definitely has his love for all of life!  They are both able to see the beauty in all of Heavenly Father's creations.
Lexi loves her family so much!  She is such a great big cousin and sister!  Because of this, I know what a wonderful mommy she will make one day.  She has such a kind heart and selfless attitude.
I hope that Lexi knows how much her grandparents love her!  They are wonderful examples for her.  I hope that she has a desire to learn more about all of her family.  Those who are here and those who have passed.  I belive that learning her heritage will help define who she is.
I hope that Lexi knows how much her Heavenly Father loves her.  I hope that when she prays she can feel close to Him and be assured that she can turn to Him when she is in need.
I hope that she continues to be a shining example of our Savior Jesus Christ.  I hope that she will always make good decisions and try to live as He did.
She has already taken such an important step.  She has made that decision to follow Christ and to be an example.
I am so proud to be Lexi's Mommy!
I want Lexi to know how much I love her.  I want her to know that I have a testimony of this Gospel.  I kow God lives and that He loves us.  I know that if we turn to Him in prayer when in need He will hear us and will give us answers.  I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He died for us so that we can return to live with Him someday.  I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth.  I know that we have a living prophet today to help lead and guide us through these difficult times.  What a loving Heavenly Father we have to give us someone when we would need it the most.  I know that if we live by example and follow the principles of the gospel, we will be able to share this joy with others.

I love my Heavenly Father so much and I am so thankful to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

OMG! It's OSO!!!!! :)

It isn't news that Gavin is slightly obsessed with Special Agent Oso.  We have searched the internet world wide! (hehe...get it?)  Well, imagine my suprise while strolling down the aisle at Target and spotting these!

Needless to say, we HAD to get them!  And I think he looks pretty happy with them...as he watches OSO with his new OSO dolls!
