Train Exhibition

With Lexi at a friends house and Mommy sleeping after work one Saturday, Gavin and Ryan took off to the Indiana State Fair grounds for the annual Train Exhibition!!  Gavin walked in and kept running around yelling, "Choo-choo! Choo-choo"!!  He was so overwhelmed, he didn't know where to go next!
He got to ride a train and see a ton of train exhibits!

Sheer Joy!  That's what that face is!  I love you my little choo-choo boy!!

Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was AMAZING!!!  Both Ryan and I were off all of Christmas which is the first in the 5 years we have been married!  I could get use to that but with my job I know I shouldn't. :)
There are TONS of pictures and I won't bore you with all the details but just know, we all had a great time with family and are super blessed to have them all in our lives!

Awards Night

This past fall we were able to go watch Lexi be recognized for an awesome award!  Lexi was recognized in front of the school board for receiving all A's her entire second grade year!!  She worked really hard and due to this hard work, was accepted into the Horizon's Program at her school.  She is a very smart girl and we are very proud of her!

Gavin is very proud of Lexi, too!!
Congratulations Lexi!!

Fall 2011

Fall is always our favorite time of year!  The smells, the colors, the feel in the air...it's intoxicating!  This fall was no different.  We took advantage of Daddy having time off this year and had some fall-time fun days!
The kids had a blast playing in the leaves!  Gavin especially liked throwing them at Lexi.  :)

We also took a day to go to the pumpkin patch! We were able to do lots of fun things like play in a corn pit, take a hay ride, and look at all the cool pumpkins.  And of course get cider!!

I swear this little boy has to EVERYTHING his big sister does.  He loves her so much!!!  Makes me a proud mommy!!!

This is the pumpkin Lexi wanted.
Gavin couldn't stand getting dirty.  He is so OCD.  He can't stand for any of his finger nails to be uneven, hands dirty, etc.  Ryan hates that.  I LOVE it!!  :)
We had a lot of fun carving pumpkins this year too!  Gavin really got into it but thought the seeds were really yucky!  It took a lot of pushing to get him to try to pull all of the 'yucky' out of the pumpkins!

Lexi's Halloween costume this year was kind of a big deal.  She changed her mind about a thousand times and finally decided on a snow princess.  So we bought this gorgeous dress from Cracker Barrel and no more than get it home and she was upset because she wanted to be something scary.  So...we used our imaginations and came up with a zombie snow princess.  And in my opinion, this was her best costume yet!
The pre-show:

And can we just say WOW!?!?!  Isn't she awesome?!?  I think she totally pulls off the zombie snow princess look!  :)
And isn't that the scariest monster you have ever seen?!?!!  I love this sweet little boy.  I think he could have been in Lexi's costume and made that scary look be sweet!
About 10 minutes into trick-or-treating he decided he had enough candy and sat down in the middle of the sidewalk and started eating his candy.
Look at that creepy sky!!  I love Halloween!!
My scary monsters!
