Have I ever told anyone how electronically cursed I am? So cursed that I went looking for a guy that could supply me with all my electronic needs. Well, apparently I am rubbing off. February has been the month of sorrow for electronics in our home.
It all began when I gave my sister and brother-in-law one of the computers we weren't using because Ry got a new computer for Christmas. Woohoo we did something nice and got rid of one of the extra pieces of machinery that I have no idea how to use. Shortly after that both of Ryan's external hard drives failed. This is where he stores his life accomplishments. All of his projects for school, work, his demo, his script that he has been working on, all of my pictures. Now you have to understand that we backed everything up on both hard drives that way if one failed we would have it on another. Who could have known that they would both fail at the same time on the same day?
By that night we have found a program that can repair the hard drives. By the next morning the scans were only half way done and eventually failed. So, Ryan being the ever so hopeful continues to look for something that will fix them. He finds a program that will allow him to recover the files and then put them onto a computer. So, we begin this process. The next morning one of the hard drives has completed the scan. However, the second hard drive was unable to scan because the computer that I am now using since we gave my sis the other computer overheated!! (no worries ash) So we begin the process again and by that night with only 5 minutes to go it overheats again!! Needless to say we were able to recover both hard drives and Ryan recovered everything he needed. Both are working again.
My computer however...we now know that one of the fans is not working, the keyboard only works if you take out the battery and the screen will not hold itself up anymore.
Next in our list is our wonderful cars. 5 days before taking our car in for routine maintenance our car fails to start and I have to leave the Children's museum to go help Ryan jump the CAR. (hehe) We eventually start it and take it in for maintenance. After being there for 1 day they call to let us know that there is approximately $10,000 worth of work that needs to be done on the car. YIKES! We very politely said we only need the car to run and that lowered the bill about $8,500. So we get the car back and it begins to smell terribly. I call and they say just to bring it in the next morning. I go to have dinner with Ryan and he asked me to pop the hood. Apparently smoke was billowing out of the hood. We take it back up there and they missed a substantial oil leak that was leaking on to the engine and burning. This turned into a $1800 deal and in the process they broke something while fixing the broken something. Obviously they did not make us pay for that. We picked upthe car today and there is no smells or smokes that shouldn't be there. Is the month over yet?

The Wing family is proud to present...
Presenting the new addition to the Wing family...
Jezebel Stumpy-butt Wing (Squirt)
Jezzie joined our family almost two weeks ago. She is absolutely adorable and as sweet as can be. Her youthful personality is rubbing off on the other animals. Lexi is having a hard time understanding why she can't pick her up and drag her around the house. She is fitting right in with our little family.
Made in the USA
Just when you thought you couldn't find anything made in the USA...
You find this...
I am glad to know that as difficult as it is to find things made in the United States we can still find Chineese food. Leave it to the Chineese.
